What's all about?

Let me share few words about what this site is all about for the non-Turkish speaking readers.

At the beginning of 2013, I decided to blog about Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Extreme Programming, Software Craftsmanship and Agile (including development practices and organizational transformation) because these are the topics that I like so much. I've been experiencing agile development since 2008 and I am able to talk about them for hours without any feeling of tiring.

So as you my guess, my very first purpose of writing a blog was to share my knowledge and ideas with the world. So writing in English seemed to be a good option. Then I realized that there exists a very minimum amount of resources in Turkish. Whenever I chatted with people around here (i.e. Turkey by the way), I heard the same thing: People wanted to read more about the agile topics in their native language.

Even though the majority of users in Turkey being interested in Agile knows English, I am sure that people feel more comfortable when they read the concepts in their native language. That's why I choose to start blogging to express all my feelings and all the things in my mind in Turkish.

Now many Turkish people read my words and feel my passion and energy on building better organizations and team developing software. At the beginning I was feeling a bit sad because I would have reached much more people if I had written in English. But then I found a solution: Having a second blog and writing about similar concepts on that place.

Today I share my own words at flyingtomoon.com in English and agilistanbul.com in Turkish. I will continue to share my experience and knowledge in these blogs in my own words.

So that's the story behind this tiny blog. For any questions and comments, please feel free to contact me via lemiorhan[at]agilistanbul.com.
